Museum village Dübener Heide

Very close to the HEIDE SPA you will find the very well-preserved Obermühle. This historic water mill was first mentioned around 1500. The mill saw, ground and crushed for over 450 years until it was shut down in 1948. The mill garden, an oven built according to historical models, the cottage garden and the field barn with a threshing machine - there is much to discover here. The Obermühle is open every weekend and its cabaret stage offers cultural highlights throughout the year.

Experience the moor with all your senses - under this motto, the moor adventure trail between HEIDE SPA and Obermühle invites you to take an interesting tour of discovery. Experience all sorts of interesting facts about the formation, degradation and processing of moors on a circular route. The circular route first leads past a cart that used to be used to mine and transport the moor. Only a few meters further you reach the "moor pocket" in which the moor used in therapy is stored. You can cross the moor comfortably and dry-footed on a boardwalk, where you can observe the flora and fauna wonderfully. When you get to the other side, you have to take off your shoes and stockings. In the moor treading pool you can convince yourself of the beneficial effects of the moor. The moor adventure trail is open from May 1st to September 30th. The entrance is on Parkstrasse. Admission is free.

Seaside Goitzsche

For almost 100 years, coal mining has shaped the 60 km² area of ​​the Goitzsche landscape park near Bitterfeld. In 1999, the flooding of the remaining opencast mine holes began. The resulting waters are a habitat for a large number of animal species after just a few years and today offer a wide range of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts.
